CTA established a hardware analysis, design, development, fabrication and test capability in 1985 specifically in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) at China Lake, California. For more than 19 years, CTA has brought substantial resources, expertise, domain knowledge, and a record of excellent performance to the NAWCWD client.
CTA has consistently provided high-quality hardware-in-the-loop test and evaluation facilities, flight-worthy simulators, field-support equipment, instrumentation systems, and data collection/reduction systems. CTA's experience has been gained in a demanding DoD market, with present products supporting T&E and air combat training ranges; tactical aircraft weapons, avionics, and sensors; and ballistic missiles.
CTA's systems development core capabilities include: electrical engineering (digital, analog, and RF); mechanical engineering (packaging, re-engineering with commercial off the shelf (COTS) solutions, thermal and structural integrity); software engineering (embedded, HOL, OOD, real-time simulation, relational databases); and development/deployment support (CAD, fabrication, on-site operations and maintenance).
CTA supports all hardware lifecycle phases, from concept exploration and definition through deployment and maintenance, by utilizing ISO 9001:2000 development and manufacturing processes. These processes are structured for quality control and repeatability while flexible to allow new methods to be incorporated as technology advances. These practices are tailored for application to a wide spectrum of projects, from full-scale hardware development to build-to-print fabrication to rapid prototyping.
