For over five years, Computer Technology Associates has provided high quality engineering services to the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Information Technology Division (ITD). CTA was initially awarded a contract to provide Y2K inventory, assessment, test, and remediation services for the four airports operated and managed by LAWA - Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario International Airport, Van Nuys Municipal Airport, and Palmdale Regional Airport. Additionally, CTA was issued a sole source supplemental Y2K contract to continue Y2K services.

In April of 2000, CTA supported the LAWA Telecommunications Center on several projects to convert the drawings and schematics from paper format to electronic format. These new electronic drawings were critical to the continued maintenance and operation of mission critical security systems at LAX. CTA converted, produced, or plotted more than 1,300 drawings in AutoCAD 2000 format.

In March of 2000, CTA supported the LAWA ITD Project Office personnel in the design, development, implementation, deployment and training of the LAWA ITD Projects database application. This application centralized information on all ITD programs, projects, contracts, and contractors, significantly simplifying the collection, tracking, statusing, and reporting of ITD project activity. Additionally, CTA designed and developed an ITD RFP Tracking database application. This application tracked all phases of the RFP process from initial public announcements through contractor selection and negotiation. This application is proving to be an extremely efficient way to meet the stringent requirements for tracking publicly released RFPs.

Today, CTA continues to support the LAWA Telecommunications Center in updating and maintaining specifications, schematics, and drawings of critical infrastructure systems at LAX.
